Call for Applications: URA Visiting Scholars Program

Universities Research Association, Inc. (URA) has announced a deadline of Monday, February 25, 2019 for the submission of applications for the spring 2019 cycle awards in the URA Visiting Scholars Program (VSP).

Applications must be submitted online at the URA Visiting Scholars Program website. To register, please go to the VSP site: http://www.ura-hq.org/vsp/wp-login.php?action=register.

Applicants will be asked to provide a username and email address; a registration confirmation and password will be sent to the email address submitted, providing access to the URA VSP site. Applicants should anticipate notification of award decisions by the end of March 2019.

The URA Visiting Scholars Award Program is supported by contributions from the URA member universities. The VSP awards provide financial support for faculty and students from URA’s member universities to work at Fermilab for periods of up to one year, in the spring and fall. The application deadline for the fall 2019 cycle is Monday, August 26, 2019.

Proposed visits can range from attendance at conferences or summer schools held at Fermilab to year-long research stays. Support from this program can include transportations costs and local lodging expenses during a series of shorter visits or salarary supported during longer visit. Individual awardees may receive up to a maximun of $50,000 in any twelve-month period, with a lifetime maximum award total of $50,000 per indiviual.
