Summer Institutes 2020
The Summer Institutes, part of Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies (SPCS), seek experienced post-doctoral scholars, advanced graduate students, adjunct faculty, and or industry professionals and researchers to teach a three-week course in Artificial Intelligence to academically talented high school students during Summer 2020 on Stanford campus.
The Summer Institutes is an academic residential program offering high school students advanced-level academic study in a single intensive course. Students are selected for both their ability and interest in the course subject areas.
Instructors are supported by undergraduate and graduate student teaching assistants. Each day consists of 2 1⁄2 hours of class time from 9:00 to 11:30 am led by the Instructor, plus a 3-hour period from 1:00-4:00 pm for individual and small group work dedicated to assignments led by TAs. This is an ideal opportunity for those who enjoy working with bright, motivated students and are interested in developing or furthering their teaching experience.
Summer Institutes Instructors have the unique opportunity to develop their own course.
Courses are designed for academic enrichment without credit, curriculum requirements.
Course Dates
Session 1: June 23 – July 9, 2020
Students in grades 9-12, ages 15-17
Salary: $5250 per three-week course
