December 21, 2020 by Bennett Agnew

A postdoctoral position is available for a bioinformatician at the European Institute of Oncology-Department of Experimental Oncology, Milan, in the team of Serena Ghisletti.

This position is in the context of a long-term project that aims at the characterization of genomic regulatory elements in myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and secondary acute myeloid leukemia (sAML). The successful candidate will be involved in the bioinformatic analysis of epigenomics datasets (ChIP-seq/RNA-seq data) generated
from human patients with myeloid neoplasms.

The project is highly integrative, making use of complementary cutting-edge technologies, including NGS sequencing and proteomics approaches. It involves tight interactions not only with other group members but also with the broad community of computational and experimental biologists of the IEO Campus (https://www.research.ieo.it).

Applicants should have a PhD degree in systems biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related discipline and experience in the analysis of biological high- throughput data and knowledge in statistical methods in the context of biological systems.

For more information about the project, team, salary please contact Serena Ghisletti (serenamarialuisa.ghisletti@ieo.it). Interested candidates should submit their curriculum vitae, a brief research statement and contact information for two referees to Serena Ghisletti (serenamarialuisa.ghisletti@ieo.it)
