A two-year postdoctoral position is available in the Garg lab at University of Copenhagen. Our research focus is to develop new computational algorithms for solving fundamental biological problems of genome assembly and haplotyping. We seek a passionate postdoc to develop sophisticated computational algorithms/machine learning methods to integrate multiple complex datasets to yield meaningful insights into human health and biodiversity. More specifically, we are interested in combining third-generation sequencing datasets for more than several tens of samples (healthy/diseased) through novel computational models. These computational models (tools) will also be relevant to large-scale haplotyping efforts such as Human Pangenome project, Personal Genome Project, Darwin Tree of Life and several other projects as well.
